
The second episode of season two is just three weird disconnected stories. I will say, seasons 2-4 remain episodic but do break away from the formuliac nature more often and can get pretty weird.

I've even talked to people who didn't really watch the original seasons but still greatly enjoyed five. I'd recommend checking out some of the more note-worthy stand-alone's throughout the season, I love the Three Blind Archers (and do consider it the strongest of season 1 by a long shot) but to ride off what catinator said, you could skip to 5.


Season one is probably my least favorite but honestly, if you didn't like the first season the next three probably won't change your mind too much.
